Ubuntu Desktop 12.04 64bit 版をインストールしてみると、DVDを再生後
「エラー リソースを読み込むことができません」
と言うエラーがでる。

まずはubuntu wikiの下記サイトを参考に必要パッケージをインストールする。

sudo wget http://www.medibuntu.org/sources.list.d/`lsb_release -cs`.list --output-document=/etc/apt/sources.list.d/medibuntu.list; sudo apt-get -q update; sudo apt-get --yes -q --allow-unauthenticated install medibuntu-keyring; sudo apt-get -q update
sudo apt-get install libdvdcss2
ここではまだDVD再生できませんでした。
そこで、再度下記を参考にし、Gstreamer関連のパッケージがインストールされているかを
ubuntu software centerで「動画プレーヤー」と検索し、
プラグインがインストールされているか確認します。
私の場合は、GStreamerコーデックインストーラが入っていなかったようです。
早速プラグインのチェックをいれます。
インストールが完了するとDVDがめでたく再生できました！
